AvMarkets' first product was a propriety bidding platform for the repair and overhaul of commercial aircraft. It was, and still is the only one of its kind. This feature has saved asset owners and operators millions of dollars in repair costs while helping MRO facilities bid on solicitations they normally would not have been invited to participate.
Since our first product, a lot has changed for AvMarkets. In 2006 we spun-off the company as a new start-up with a mission to offer the most sophisticated web and consulting services in the aerospace industry. The complete year of 2007 was dedicated to the redesign and deployment of our new website. This new site takes advantage of the latest Microsoft Architecture .Net 2.0, SQL Server, Java and AJAX . In addition to our changes, the aerospace industry has gone through significant change as well, in particular the commercial sector. The airline industry had to make several adjustments to stay competitive or even survive. Retiring older generation aircraft with more efficient commercial models or even replacing that style of aircraft with regional types. The uncertainty in the business also put a strain on companies making them minimize their workforce, placing a larger workload on fewer employees. This is not a healthy environment for companies whose mission is to be profitable and productive.
